Origin of Salad Caesar - Tijuana Downtown
Salad Caesar was invented somewhere you never would have probably guessed: Mexico, Tijuana.

The salad's creation is generally attributed to restaurateur Caesar Cardini, an Italian immigrant who operated restaurants in Mexico. His daughter Rosa (1928-2003) remembered that her father invented the salad when 4th July in 1924 depleted the kitchen's supplies. Cardini had to do with what he had left in the kitchen, adding the dramatic flair of the table-side tossing "by the chef." This was when the Caesar's salad was invented.
Nowadays, Caesar's Restaurant is considered as one of the "101 best Hotel Restaurants in the World" according to a list by The Daily Meal - a website focused on food and drinks throughout the world.
